Amazing Stories

On my blog you will find news, stories and trends about storytelling, creativity, marketing & PR. Have fun reading.

Storytelling Forum

Plot is an interdisciplinary storytelling forum - created, curated and run by the makers of the series festival

SERIENCAMP (seriencamp.tv), storytelling expert Petra Sammer and the branding and design studio Abc&D (abc-and-d.com).

Travel Guides

#ThereMustBeSomething is a somewhat different travel tour. Together with Claudia Siebert, I'm on the lookout for stories in cities that you might not visit at first glance. Like Kassel, Karlsruhe, Gelsenkirchen, Worms, Magdeburg or Hildesheim. The next tour will be to Saarbrücken. Hopefully in the fall of 2021.

Creative Statements

In 2014 and 2016, I had the honor of serving as a juror in the communications industry's most prestigious creative award show, Cannes Lions.  The Creative Statement Project comments on this award show from an unusual perspective - with a Lion that my agency and team had won. What an honor.

Creative Safari

Creative Safari means getting out of the urban jungle, into the creative wilderness and discovering something new.

Creative Safari means networking with creative people, exchanging ideas, inspiring each other - and getting to know a very special place, company or artist. We'd love to come back with this tours in 2021.

Change Perspectives

This is a photo project that plays with different perspectives. With proximity and distance. In the motif and in the choice of motif, because the little weather house - the star in the picture - got around quite a bit in 2013: from New York to Berlin, from Kassel to Texas. The project ended on December 31, 2013 with a huge fireworks display in the Tyrolean Alps. More on the blog and as an eBook.

Munich City Walk

Munich has 42 districts. In 2015, I visited them all. For one year, I crisscrossed the most beautiful city in the world - all recorded in this eBook: "Münchner Zettelwirtschaft".

Words on Hand

Handwriting is something wonderful. But we are surrounded by so much text written with the help of machines that the feeling for handwriting seems to get lost.  Words on Hand is a project for fans of handwriting, even much more for fans of the poet Rainer Maria Rilke, who chose his words so carefully.

Sketch Notes

I like to sketch along during a lecture and in events. My SketchNotes are not very good, but you can still view them - on Pinterest

Movie Marathon

I am a film philologist. Have studied the analysis  of films. But if you think I've seen enough movies, you should have seen me in 2012. That's when I made it my mission to watch all Oscar-winning films. A marathon task, since that's 86 films and about 10,320 minutes of film. The criteria of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science are controversial, since the Oscars - in the beginning - were created to promote US-movies. A PR campaign that is still worth watching.

100 Thought Leaders

Who are the most influential thinkers in the world? The Swiss Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute publishes a list of the "100 Thought Leaders" every year. In 2014, I systematically scoured this list to get to know each one. It was a project that brought new perspectives and unexpected insights.

Truth about Sabbaticals

2015 was an exciting year. I took 365 days off from my job as Chief Creative Officer at Ketchum. A whole year. But sabbaticals don't turn out the way you think...
